Houston: Three More Innings, No More Runs
By Jeremy Mills - June 04, 2006
Several more at bats but no more runs since last I wrote, as Baylor continues to lead Arizona State 4-2 in the bottom of the 6th.
The Bears had the biggest threat, getting two runners on base in the bottom of the fourth before the Sun Devils turned a nice double play to end the inning.
Baylor starter Cory VanAllen left after 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) while scattering five hits and four walks. As the score stands, he'll get his only win in three starts against ASU this season.
Pat Bresnehan has pitched three innings without allowing a run so far out of the bullpen for the Sun Devils, while Jeff Mandel struck out the only batter he has faced so far for the Bears.
