NCAA: Stanford jerseys rule.

By Eric Sorenson - June 02, 2006

Watching the Stanford-NC State game reminds me that I think the Cardinal pullover-style jersey are so retro-cool. Of course, today, playing on that turf in Austin, I bet they wish they were literally "cool" or air conditioned or something.

Coach Mark Marquess is the one to blame... or to congratulate, in this case. They are the only team in the country that I know of that still has the button-less pullover style tops. They have them in grey, white and cardinal. And that's it. No fancy-smancy tank-style jerseys. No french pastry-style Nike togs.

They are also pasting the Wolf Pack big time right now, 6-0 in the 6th. I'm sitting in the CSTV studios watching on one of the many TVs they got in this joint.

Nice digs.

More later.
