NCAA: USC's Gillespie retires

By Eric Sorenson - June 02, 2006

Just got word that USC's Mike Gillespie has retired from his head coaching duties at the Los Angeles school. I know some of the USC fans on my hockey team I play on wil be happy. They couldn't stand the dude. But I liked him, he was also very cool to me in the few times I talked to him. Chad Kreuter, who had been a major leaguer for 16 years, will replace him. Turns out that Kreuter is Gillespie's son-in-law too. Hmmmm.
