Oxford: Day two set to begin

By Chris Kieffer - June 03, 2006

Tulane and Bethune-Cookman players are huddling and day two of the 2006 Oxford Regional will begin in about 10 minutes.

Bethune-Cookman is the home team, wearing white pinstripe shirt and pants with the "BC" logo in maroon trimmed in gold across their chest. They are wearing maroon socks and a cap that resembles the old San Diego Padres cap -- maroon bill and maroon on all sides excpet the front. The front panel is white with the "BC" logo in maroon trimmed in gold.
Tulane is in gray shirts and pants. There is a yellow bat across the chest with Tulane in green script across the chest. The Green Wave are wearing black caps with green bills and the white "T" logo across the front.
Tulane is throwing its No. 3 starter, right-hander Billy Mohl (8-0, 3.99) instead of No. 2 Brandon Gomes. B-CC is starting right-hander Dustin Blackwell (7-6, 3.31).
The Wildcats impressed a lot of people by playing step-for-step with top-seeded Ole Miss yesterday. They wree very fundamentallly sound. Tulane will be looking to bounce back from their first regional loss in sven games.
Green WAve fans are beginning to fill into their section along hte first base line, but are not as thick as they were yesterday. B-CC fans are pretty sparse.
