Oxford: Getting set
By Chris Kieffer - June 12, 2006
National anthem just sung and we're about to get set for game 3 in Oxford.
Miami players are currently huddled down the third-base line. The Hurricanes are wearing the same uniforms as last night, white tops and pants with an orange and greeen "U" across their chest. The Hurricanes are wearing white caps with green bills and a green and orange "U" in the middle. Ole Miss is wearing red tops with "Ole MIss" written in blue and trimmed in white. Ole Miss is wearing white pants, and the Rebels have navy caps with a red "M."
About 10 minutes ago, the Counting Crows song "Omaha" played over the PA system. Ole Miss usually plays that song after a Rebel win, but the song carries even more meaning tonight.
Ole Miss will send freshman right-hander Lance Lynn (7-3, 4.57) to the mound. Lynn is a hard-throwing right-hander who packs a changeup and curveball, but throws mostly fastballs. His fastball is clocked in the mid-90s.Ole Miss is 9-1 in his last 10 starts.
Miami counters with sophomore left-hander Manny Miguelez (8-4, 4.01).
