Oxford: New Orleans characters

By Chris Kieffer - June 03, 2006

There was a tense moment in the bottom of the first inning when a foul ball screamed through the stands before bouncing off a seat and landing back on the field. A Tulane fan seated near where the ball bounced poked fun at the situation by picking up his cane and taking a baseball-style swing at the spot where the ball had gone.
B-CC got runners on first and second before Tulane pitcher Billy Mohl got out of the inning.
B-CC fans are gathered in a cluster on the third base line and are even cheering in spanish. Tulane fans have grown since the game started and there are a couple hundred of them along the first base line. They've already let out three Hallabaloo cheers.
Top 2nd, TU 2, B-CC 0
