Oxford: Ole Miss escapes jam

By Chris Kieffer - June 03, 2006

With the crowd on its feet, Ole Miss reliever Cody Satterwhite struck out Jeff Cunningham looking to send the 7-7 tie between Ole Miss and South Alabama into the eighth. OM catcher Justin Brashear spiked the ball after the call.
USA had runners on first and second with no outs before Brashear picked David Doss off of second base and Satterwhite got back-to-back strikeouts.
It helped Satterwhite save face after getting himself into the jam by walking Lance Heisler when Heisler was attempting to bunt after Doss led off with a single.
