Oxford: South Al takes lead

By Chris Kieffer - June 02, 2006

South Alabama got a run in the third to take a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the third.

Chris Davis reached on an infield single to Tulane shortstop Cat Everett, who couldn't handle his ground ball. Davis went to second on a sac bunt, third on a ground out and then scored on a wild pitch from Tulane's Sean Morgan. Pitch wasn't quite in the dirt, but it was low and far inside.
With one out in the bottom of the third, USA is outhitting TU 2-1.
