Oxford: Standing ovation
By Chris Kieffer - June 04, 2006
Tulane had runners on second and third with two outs in the second inning and brought leadoff hitter Matt Riser to the plate. OM pitcher Lance Lynn worked the count to 0-2, enticing the Ole Miss fans to stand and clap. Three pitches later, Lynn blew a fastball past Riser for strike three. The crowd stood and cheer and Lynn pumped his first and spun as he sprinted off the mound.
After two innings, Tulane and Ole Miss are tied at 2.
