Oxford: Wildcats get first base runners

By Chris Kieffer - June 02, 2006

Ole Miss sophomore right-hander Will Kline was perfect through 4.2 before walking B-CC third baseman Rob Caruso on a 3-2 pitch. He got ahead of left fielder Colin Irvine 0-2, but the Wildcats hit-and-ran. Ole Miss shortstop ran toward second base to cover and Irvine hit teh ball through the hole on the left side for the Wildcat's first hit. Caruso went to third on the Irvine single. Irvine stole second before Kline struck out Spencer Hill to strand runners on second and third.
OM 1, B-CC 0 bottom 5th
Kline's changeup has been especially domianant, and B-CC's R.J. Rodriguez has really mixed a fastball, curveball and changeup.
