Tuscaloosa: Doh! Homer, Homer, Homer

Southern Miss hit solo homers in the fourth and fifth to grab a 2-1 lead over Jacksonville State. Those homers, by Drew Carson and Brian "Bull" Dozier came off JSU starter Tony Drinkard. Earlier in the game Garrett Bates somered for the Gamecocks so all of the games' scoring has come on solo home runs.
