Auburn jumps out

Auburn is flexing their muscles with a 5-2 third inning lead over Michigan State.

The teams swapped early home runs. Josh Donaldson slammed a no-doubter for Auburn and topped it off by taking a bow at the plate. That didn't exactly endear him to the Michigan State dugout where I was standing shooting photos. I wondered if there would be repercussions at his next at bat. There were not, and Donaldson singled.

Michigan State's Sean Walker hit a home run in the top of the second to tie the game at one.

Auburn scored again in the second and three times in the third.

Michigan State's Steve Gerstenberger was called out stealing and ejecting for reportedly questioning the legitimacy of the SEC umpiring crew. He was the second snap ejection of the day - the first in this game.
