FSU/UT: Seminoles looking strong

By Mark Etheridge - February 03, 2007

Florida State has looked very impressive in their two wins thus far. Their veteran pitchers have kept an aggressive Tennessee offense under wraps while their offense and their defense have played well. A total team effort.

FSU turns to Ryan Strauss on the hill Sunday. The starting leftfielder a year ago, Strauss has a tough act to follow in his first start of the year. Top two starters Bryan Henry and Michael Hyde have pitched 12 2/3 scoreless innings. They've allowed just six hits, three walks, and have collected 21 strikeouts.

For Tennessee, expect a more patient offensive approach against Strauss. Coach Delmonico stressed to his team how their aggressiveness has kept them behind in the count swinging at pitchers pitches.

Should be a fun one. Gametime is 1 ET.
