Fullerton strikes first

By Lara Boyko - February 02, 2007

After making quick work of Stanford's top of the line-up with two strikeouts, a hit-by-pitch and strikeout number three, Fullerton came up for their first at-bat ready to shake off their jitters. First it was center fielder Clark Hardman advancing to first on a hit-by-pitch. Then second baseman Joel Weeks lucked out on his sacrifice bunt and was able to stay at first. Hardman and Weeks then advanced on a single by first baseman Jake Vasquez. With bases loaded, center fielder John Curtis, right fielder Chris Jones and designated hitter Jon Wilhite hit into easy outs, but it allowed Fullerton to take an early 2-0 lead.
