Glare Is Brutal--2-1 UNC

By Doug Kroll - February 24, 2007

My eyes are yelling at me for forgetting my shades as I sit in the press box. The glare coming in from the bright sky is just torture here at the ballpark. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it while up at the plate.

I'm also glad that I don't have to deal with UNC starter Alex White, who has picked up right where he left off last week. The Heels have supplied him with a 2-0 lead as we play in the Top of the 4th, but for the first time in the series, SBU has two runners on with only one out...

As I'm sure coach Senk is thinking to himself and telling his guys...This is their chance

As i write, a wild pitch now has the tying runs in scoring position...

Senk told his team yesterday about how Mercer beat Clemson last year, it was the second game that they won. I like the way he thinks.

OK--update--2-1 after a SAC Fly by Steve Mazzurco

Update on the glare: the cause my be a new building in rightcenter in which the roof gives off the nasty stuff. The joke just was in the pressbox that we may have to have glare delays like they do at Rice!!

Again, just a joke.

3-1 UNC on a homerun by Tim Fedroff in his first start of the season.
