Its 4:1 in ratio terms but that isn't the same as 20-5

Way back when I was flunking algebra, I learned that 20:5 is the same as 4:1. If only baseball were algebra, we would have had a great game. It isn't and we didn't. 20-5 is a letdown for a lot of the 2500 or so who saw the game on a pretty Sunday afternoon. Most are home by now, contemplating whether to fry their shrimp or steam them.
On the field Auburn served notice to the rest of their schedule that these guys can score. If they pitch, they will be a handful this year. We'll get a good idea what kind of club they have next weekend when the Arizona State Sun Devils visit Samford Stadium-Hitchcock Field and Plainsman Park.
Auburn is now 10-1. South Alabama is 4-4.
