Stretch Time

Texas leads San Diego 10-5 in the middle of the seventh here at Dell Diamond.

In the sixth, USD’s Sean Nicol got on base for the third time today and scored on Justin Snyder’s double.

Texas got their 10th run on catcher Preston Clark’s double, his third hit of the day, and Brad Suttle’s single, his third RBI of the day.

USD’s Shane Buschini poked a long-ball that bounced off the very top of the wall. After a huddle, the umpires correctly ruled it a home run.

Every Texas starter has a hit.

The strong north winds are playing havoc with anything hit in the air.

Bonus coverage: In the big sporting event of the weekend, Joey Chestnut ate 182 wings to win the Wing Bowl. They're saying that's a record, but I'm pretty sure I ate more than that at the Cotton Bowl media luncheon.
