Sweet Sunday

By Doug Kroll - February 11, 2007

Well, can Sunday be just as good as Friday or Saturday? It'll be tough, but we shall see. Touching the Bases will be up and running once again with the Astros College Classic wrapping up action with three more games today, Miami goes for a devastating sweep of the Bruins, and Stanford and Fresno State tries to dance around the raindrops. Here's the schedule, enjoy everybody.

Noon Eastern: Arizona St. vs. Houston (Astros College Classic)-Eric Sorenson
The Sun Devils try to rebound after a walk-off wild pitch on an intentional walk yesterday against Vanderbilt, while the Cougars try to make it a winning weekend at Minute Maid Park.

1pm Eastern: UCLA at Miami-Adam Aizer
After dropping a 1-0 game on Friday night, the Bruins gave up three runs in the bottom of the ninth and fell 9-8 on Saturday. UCLA will try to salvage a game in Coral Gables this afternoon.

3:30pm Eastern: Baylor vs. Vanderbilt (Astros College Classic)-Eric Sorenson
The Bears have struggled at Minute Maid this weekend, while the 'Dores have thrived. Does Vandy have another comeback in store?

4pm Eastern: Fresno State at Stanford (Game One)-Alex Gyr
Will the rain finally stop in Palo Alto long enough for the Bulldogs and Cardinal to get even one game in? They'll pick this one up in the fourth inning if the tarp gets off the field with Stanford leading things 6-1.

7pm Eastern: Texas A&M vs. Rice (Astros Classic)-Eric Sorenson
Rice looks to make it two in a row after bouncing back with a convincing shutout victory over Baylor last night.

TBA: Fresno State at Stanford (Game Two)-Alex Gyr
Well, if they can finish one, this one will get started....we think...it's truly Sunken Diamond this weekend.
