The sunshine state?

By Mark Etheridge - February 03, 2007

Gotta love it to be out in the stands today. Temps in the 40s and windy. Those are the conditions today in sunny Tallahassee for the Florida State Tennessee Saturday contest. Florida State won yesterday 9-2.

The pressbox is still buzzing over Bryan Henry's outing yesterday. The crafty senior righty had an uncharacteristic 11 strikeouts including eight of the first ten hitters.

All thew scouts are here to see Tennessee junior southpaw James Adkins. He gets the start for the Vols today. After a sparkling freshman season, Adkins was up and down last season. In his money year, all eyes are on the lanky lefty.

A 5:30 AM wakeup and five and half hour drive has got me live from Dick Howser Stadium for one of the weekend's biggest series.
