USD-UT: *THIS* is Baseball Weather!

64 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! The press box windows are open and I can smell hot dogs! Does it get any better than this?

Here's a live cam of the stadium just to seriously pique your envy. San Diego and Texas will start the rubber game of the series at 1pm Central.

USD won the opener Friday night 6-5. The bats came alive for both teams yesterday, with Texas winning 13-8.

The Toreros will send junior Matt Couch to the mound. Couch is USD's most experienced starter, coming off a season where he won seven games and posted 71 K's. He picked up a save Friday, coming on to get the final two outs of the game, including a three-pitch punchout of Chance Wheeless to end it with the tying run on base.

The Longhorns' starter is junior James Russell. Russell pitched two years at Navarro Junior College for current UT pitching coach Skip Johnson. Russell's father, Jeff, had a 14-year major league career. Texas Ranger fans will remember him as an extremely effective closer who did have a habit of usually putting the winning run on base before slamming the door.

First pitch in moments...
