Auburn had their guy up

By Mark Etheridge - March 02, 2007

The Tigers had a chance to claw into the 4-0 ASU lead in the bottom of third. After an infield hit and a walk with two outs, Josh Donaldson came up. It was a key moment, and ASU coach Pat Murphy came out to chat with starter Josh Satow. I'm not sure if the talk helped, but Donaldson stroked one into the gap. Instead of a two-run double, centerfielder Jarred Bogany ran it down to end the threat.

Eric Sogard plated a run with a sac fly to stretch the lead to 5-0.

Our speed demon -- or is it speed Devil -- that we mentioned earlier Brett Wallace just got thrown out at second on a botched hit and run.
