Fayetteville: Everything Looking Good For Hogs

By Jean Neuberger - March 13, 2007

The seventh inning has been fantastic for the Arkansas Razorbacks. ORU had two men on and the tying run at the plate with two outs, and Brian Van Kirk hit a bomb to deep center field, but Stephen Robison, who replaced Jacob "Orange" Julius (Hrozek moved to RF), managed to run the ball down at the wall, saving the three run lead for the Hogs.

Then, the Hogs decided to open things up...

The roller coaster game continues for Ben Tschepikow. He's committed three errors tonight, but with one out in the bottom of the seventh, he crushed a line drive over the right field wall and upped the Arkansas lead to four. Wayne Hrozek then singled, stole second, advanced to third on C Van Kirk's erroneous throw, and then scored on a passed ball off of the catcher's glove, making it a five-run Hog lead with two innings to go.

Meanwhile, the student section, known to all as "The Trough", taunted Van Kirk with the chant "CATCH THE BALL...IT'S YOUR JOB!" to cheers and laughter from the fans, some of whom are leaving, sensing a win is in the air.

Dallas Keuchel, who we saw warming up earlier, is now the pitcher on the mound for the Razorbacks as we start the eighth.
