Fayetteville: Robison Pouring Salt in ORU's Wounds

By Jean Neuberger - March 13, 2007

He can run, he can make incredible catches, and now, Stephen Robison decided he could hit tonight too. Robison aboslutely CRUSHED a pitch from new ORU pitcher Carlos Luna into the Left Field Lounge, and Arkansas is now up seven and cruising towards its 14th win of the season.

Robison is definitely making a statement for player of the game. The guy's only played two innings so far, and yet, he saved the UA lead in the top of the seventh, and then crushed a lunar probe into left field in the eight. This guy has done everything right for Arkansas.

His reward? Expect Robison to play a lot this weekend. It's almost a sure thing he'll start at least one game. Van Horn always rewards players that are on their "A" game.

ORU just looks beaten down, and it's hard to explain. This was a team who returned most of its starters from last year's team that won the Fayetteville Regional, but they've suffered at the start of this year, getting swept at TCU and Texas, and losing a series to Baylor as well. They've yet to claim that big win that catapulted them last season.

Tschepikow just singled in another run, and barring utter collapse, Arkansas has this one in the bag.
