Finally ... we head to the ninth
By Mark Etheridge - March 17, 2007
We are at the four hour mark at Cliff Hagan and Kentucky leads 7-4. We are in the top of the ninth and baring a Razorback comeback, this one will mercifully end.
Arkansas has played their worst game of the season. Here are some numbers
17 men LOB
6 hits
5 Errors and misplayed several other plays not credited as errors
Walked five including one with the bases loaded in the seventh
Catcher repeatedly throws the ball into centerfield on the return to the pitcher
If it is not good, please let it be quick. It has been neither.
Kentucky on the other hand, jumped out early and cruised. They have eleven hits and four Wildcat arms have kept Arkansas at bay.
The Hogs are prolonging this beauty with two on and no outs. The tying run is at the dish in pinch-hitter Brian Walker.
