Kingsmore

This is my first trip to Kingsmore Stadium. It is a nice scene with all the fans packed in. Standing room only has rarely been more appropriate. The stadium has a large grandstand with fans also seated in lawn chairs beyond the outfield wall. Unique to Clemson is an elevated slope leading up to outfield fence.
Its origin came from legendary CU coach Bill Wilhelm who liked the look and practicality of grass all the way around the outfield. It was modeled after Cincinnati's old Crosley Field.
Back to the game, where the stiff wind just gave Justin Smoak a two-run homer. It looked like a pop to short off the bat but the thirty mile per wind carried the ball over the wall.
The game is now 12-0 SC in the seventh.
