Nashville: Cold and sunny

By Chris Lee - March 18, 2007

Once again, it's a 45-degree day in Nashville, though there's not a cloud in the sky, which makes the cold more bearable... well, I guess I should say more bearable for the fans, since I'm not exactly suffering in a climate-controlled press box!

A lineup change for Vandy today, as David Macias, who has hit leadoff in just about every game for Tim Corbin the last two seasons, is in the nine-hole today. Macias is an on-base machine who's been struggling of late, and it's likely that Corbin has bumped him down to keep him from pressing, which he's done later.

Pitching for Vandy will be Brett Jacobson (2.33, 4-0 27 IP with 5 BB and 24 K's) against Ole Miss's Brett Bukvich (2.10, 3-1, 6, 19). We'll see if either can duplicate the fantastic feats of Vandy's David Price, who threw a 14-K, 10-inning complete game on Friday in a 3-2 win, or Mississippi's Lance Lynn, who no-hit Vandy until the 8th yesterday in beating the Commodores 6-1.
