Nashville: Hitters still AWOL

By Chris Lee - March 10, 2007

Whatever scouting report Illinois-Chicago had on Vanderbilt appears to be working. The Commodores have just two hits today, and have scored just three runs in 16 innings against UIC. The Flames' Steve Crnkovich just keeps cruising, and has allowed baserunners only in the fifth.

The good news for Vandy is that Nick Christiani is equally-sharp. The right-hander is clinging to a 1-0 lead heading to the eighth, and has retired the last eight hitters he's faced.
