Pitchers looking good early

By Mark Etheridge - March 30, 2007

Alabama's Miers Quigley and LSU's Charlie Furbush pitch on Friday for a reason. College teams lead off the weekend with their top starting pitcher and each of these guys are on their game in the first inning.

Quigley already has three strikeouts as he pitches in the second. Furbush sat the Tide down in order in the first.

Both pitchers are tall southpaws with good velocity.

no score in the top of the second in Tuscaloosa
