Savery not up to his usual stuff, Fullerton up early
By Eric Sorenson - March 04, 2007
Rice starter Joe Savery kept messing around with full counts, going to 3-2 on each of the first five batters. Although he got a 3-up, 3-down first inning, he ended up walking the first two batters of the second inning. And Titan RF Chris Jones made him pay, slicing a chalk-kicking double down the right field line that scored both walkers.
Fullerton is up 2-0 going into the third inning. Savery has been all over the place with his pitches so far.
