Tigers strike early

LSU scored an unearned run in the first after a two-out error. Steven Waguespack got the RBI hit with a single to right.

With two outs and a runner on second in the Alabama first, Jared Mitchell raced over and took an RBI double away from Alabama on a hard-hit ball by Kent Matthes.

1-0 LSU in the 2nd
