The Gamecocks lead after 3 innings 5-0. Vandy starter Nick Christiani was chased out of the game after pitching just 2.1 innings. Meanwhile, Gamecocks starter Blake Cooper continues to roll in allowing just one hit.

This game has all the makings of a blowout. The Commodores may adjust by being more patient at the plate to make Cooper work. Vanderbilt will certainly need to make some adjustment as their current strategy has been ineffective at producing much at the plate.
