Bulldogs score first

By Mark Etheridge - April 01, 2007

For the first time in the series, Mississippi State scored first.

Mississippi State scored in the third after Jeffrey Rea singled and Brandon Turner drove him in with a double. Edward Easley followed with a gift-double as centerfielder Antone DeJesus lost the ball in the sun. That pushed Turner to third. He scored on a Mitch Moreland groundout.

Kentucky starter Greg Dombrowski is battling a back injury and was a last minute decision on whether he could today. He hasn't pitch badly, but has labored a bit with his delivery. He is likely on a short leash with the bad back.

2-0 Bullies in the fourth.
