Cats crowding the plate

By Mark Etheridge - April 01, 2007

MSU starter Josh Johnson went five innings. He pitched well allowing just three hits and two runs. He walked three, struck out eight. But the standout statistic is that he hit four batters. Through seven innings, Kentucky has six hit by pitches. Coming into the game, they’ve been hit by 58 pitches in 28 games.

Brock Wright’s bases-loaded sac fly in the seventh gave Kentucky the lead.

3-2 in the top of the eighth.
