Cowboys tally first runs; Russell struggles

By Tristan Threlkeld - April 27, 2007

Breedlove continued his domination over the Longhorns bats. He picked up his sixth strikeout in the fourth and has only allowed one hit thus far. For Cowboy pitching this season, this game is not what most expected from Breedlove, but to the surprise of all in the press box he has impressed and looks strong.

On a beautiful spring evening the ballgame thus far has produced only on the defensive side, until Rebel Ridling hit a sac fly to deep left center to give the Cowboys a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth and Jordy Mercer lined a hit to center to score Matt Mangini and move the score to 2-0 in the Cowboys favor.

Russell balk sends runners to second and third with only one out, which turned out to be costly for the 'Horns. Crowd really into game

Before the fifth inning Diamond Dolls lead fans in the chicken dance. Looks like the kids and a few parents are more into the fun than the college kids.
