With one out, UK's Chris Rusin plunked Pedro Alvarez in the back, and Dominic de la Osa followed by slamming a double down the left-field line.

Vandy's Ryan Flaherty followed with a single up the middle just past the diving Mike Brown at second, and both runners scored.

4-0 Vandy after 2 1/2, as Rusin gets a ground-out and a pop-up to get out of the inning.
