LEXINGTON: No more no-hitter
By Chris Lee - April 13, 2007
With one out in the sixth, UK's Mike Brown with the other way for a single to left field, breaking up David Price's no-hitter.
However, the Commodore all-American struck out Antone de Jesus looking on a fastball that appeared to catch the corner or be just off the plate, and now got leadoff hitter Mike Brown on a pitch that looked a couple inches inside, that one also looking.
The 'Cats Sawyer Carroll singled to right to give UK runners on the corners for Matt McKinney, who blooped one between the shortstop, second baseman and centerfielder. UK's John Cohen aggressively sent Carroll from first, and he beat the throw home to cut the margin to 4-2.
Price gets a grounder to end it, but three hits score two runs.
