LEXINGTON: Price makes the record books

By Chris Lee - April 13, 2007

Vandy's David Price struck out two Kentucky hitters in the first inning, then struck out No. 4 and 5 hitters Sean Coughlin and Brian Spear swinging on ridiculous sliders.

The "K" of Spear gave Price 350 career strikeouts, which ties former Toronto Blue Jay Mike Willis's school record. However, Willis accomplished his feat in four years, wheras Price is just midway through his junior campaign.

Price walked Kentucky's Jason Kipnis, but got a weak bouncer from Ryan Wilkes back to the mound, and heads to the dugout with a 2-0 lead.
