LEXINGTON: Resuming unfinished business

By Chris Lee - April 15, 2007

Saturday's game has now resumed, and Vandy pinch-hit Jonathan White came up against Duran Ferguson, who pitched in the first game and is now on in relief of Andrew Albers, Saturday's pitcher of record.

With runners at the corners and Vandy leading 2-1, White struck out on a slider away. Vandy's Alex Feinberg popped to center, and Ryan Flaherty came home as out two was recorded.

On a hit-and-run, Brad French then singled just to where the second baseman had been, giving Vandy runners on the corners for David Macias, who singled to left for another run. Pedro Alvarez then blooped a single the other way to left for another run before Dominic de la Osa popped up to end the inning.

It's Vandy 5, Kentucky 1, with lefty Cody Crowell coming on to pitch for Vandy's Mike Minor, who retired the last 14 he faced yesterday.
