Moreland ties it

After Brandon Turner led off the MSU eighth with a single, Kentucky almost erased him on a twin-killing. Edward Easely hit a sharp grounder to third. UK’s Matt McKinney made a quick throw to force the lead runner but Brian Spear came off a little premature on his pivot before throwing out Easley at first. MSU took advantage of the gift on the next pitch as Mitch Moreland slammed a home run to right to tie the game.
