NASHVILLE: Avila strikes again

By Chris Lee - April 08, 2007

Alabama's Alex Avila just homered to almost the exact spot to which he hit his first-inning homer, pulling to within one of the Commodores at 3-2. That came off Stephen Shao, and is the first multi-homer game of Avila's career, and his seventh of the year.

Just before that, 'Bama pulled starter Tomy Hunter in favor of Austin Hyatt, who got the 'Tide out of a two-on, two-out jam to end the seventh.
