NASHVILLE: E2, E8 means a run for Vandy

By Chris Lee - April 20, 2007

UT's James Adkins struck out David Macias for what looked like the third out, but catcher J.P. Arencibia dropped it and threw wild to first to give Vandy a man on first with two away.

Vandy's Alex Feinberg followed with a sharp single to Julio Borbon in center, and David Macias, off and running, sprinted towards third, and when Borbon hurried to field the ball bare-handed for a throw, the ball slipped through his fingers and Borbon then over-ran it.

Vandy coach Tim Corbin never hesitated to send Macias all the way home, and Vandy's got a 1-0 lead as Price records his fifth K to start the fourth and then quickly gets a ground-out.

Interestingly, Corbin coached both Arencibia and Borbon on this summer's national team.
