NASHVILLE: Here comes the hammer

Cody Crowell stuck out 'Bama star Emeel Salem to start the eighth, but with powerful Kent Matthes coming up, Vandy coach Tim Corbin is taking no chances.

The call has been made, and closer Casey Weathers, he of the 99 MPH fastball, has entered the game. Weathers is 5-1 with two saves, and a 1.23 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 22 innings.
