NASHVILLE: Not to be outdone

By Chris Lee - April 06, 2007

After David Price's first-inning heat, Alabama ace lefty Miers Quigley retired the first three Commodore hitters in order, including a strikeout of Pedro Alvarez after Alvarez just missed an opposite-field double on the first pitch he saw (it went foul). He then struck out No. 3 hitter Dominic de la Osa after de la Osa fouled off about a half-dozen pitches on what looked like a slider.

0-0 after one.
