NASHVILLE: Price smoking after one

By Chris Lee - April 06, 2007

Vandy's David Price usually settles in around 93-94 MPH with his fastball, but can dial it up to 98 or 99 on a good night.

Tonight looks like a good night; I can't see the radar guns down on the field, but it looked to me like Price may be closer to the high end of his range. He had a little trouble spotting his pitches and walked Jake Smith, but struck out No. 3 hitter Alex Avila, then got Kent Matthes to fly the other way to deep right for the third out.

0-0, Commodores coming to bat.
