NASHVILLE: That's the night for Price
By Chris Lee - April 20, 2007
After being untouchable nearly all evening, Vandy's David Price has proven mortal here in the ninth.
With a 3-0 lead, Price gave up a bloop double to Andy Siminic to start the ninth, then Julio Borbon chopped a pitch to Alex Feinberg at shallow second. Feinberg threw low to Brad French at first, where umpire Fred Cannon ruled French bobbled the ball.
Siminic took third, then scored when Tony Delmonico singled sharply to center. That prompted Vandy's Tim Corbin to summon closer Casey Weathers from the 'pen.
Weathers will face former Team USA J.P. Arencibia with one out and two on in the ninth, VU up 3-1.
