NASHVILLE: Vandy stars still slumping

By Chris Lee - April 07, 2007

Vanderbilt got two men on against Bernard Robert in the first, but stars Pedro Alvarez and Ryan Flaherty, hitting .211 and .167 respectively in SEC play, continue to slump and didn't help in this inning.

No. 2 hitter Alvarez popped to right with a man on first and nobody out, and Flaherty did the same with men on first and second and one out one batter later. Shea Robin then skied one to left to end the inning.

Once again, no score between Vandy and 'Bama after one.
