NASHVILLE: Weathers gets it done

Casey Weathers just did what he did best: strike out hitters and get ground balls. Weathers got cleanup hitter Kent Matthes to ground to second, walked No. 5 hitter Jake Smith, but struck out Ryan Rhoden to end the inning.

It's 4-2 Vandy over Alabama, as Vandy sends No's. 6-8 to the plate in the bottom of the eighth.
