OSU-Texas: Cowboys have no answer

By Tristan Threlkeld - April 28, 2007

Adrian Alaniz has not looked great, but has looked good. He will benefit from his offense bailing him out this game and the fortunate efforts of Cowboy hitters to only hit right at the defensive players. At the end of the fifth inning the Longhorns lead the Cowboys 7-2. This is a stark contrast to what each team was supposed to bring. The Cowboys are the hitters and the Longhorns have the arms, well it looks like through one and a half games the 'Horns have the bats, arms and the good fortune of a little luck if you will.

Weinhardt has come in and pitched effectively since the Longhorns busted out the big sticks in the fifth. The Longhorns big hitter is struggling mightily, currently Russell is 1-7 with a walk and he has struck out twice today.
