Ole Miss redshirt freshman reserve catcher Ryan White sang the national anthem before today's game. They also honored the 1977 SEC Tournament championship team before the game and former Ole Miss player and coach (and former New York Yankee) Jake Gibbs threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Ole Miss' Lance Lynn and Mississippi State's Justin Pigott both put up scoreless first innings.
Another large crowd at Oxford-University Stadium on a great spring day. Both outfields look a less less crowded than last night, but the grandstand appears to have more fans.
