Oxford: Bold move and it works

By Chris Kieffer - April 29, 2007

Ole Miss put runners on the corners with one out in the bottom of the eighth.
MSU pitcher Aaron Weatherford then fell behind 2-0 to OM leading hitter Justin Henry so the Bulldogs intentionally walked Henry to load the bases for All-American Zack Cozart.
The move drew a loud applause for Cozart from the OM crowd.
Cozart then hit a ball to MSU third baseman Connor Powers who threw out pinch runner JoJo Tann at first. MSU catcher Edward Easley nearly completed the double play, but his throw to first hit off Cozart allowing him to reach. Cody Overbeck then grounded out to short to end the inning.
Still tied at 1 with one out in the top of the ninth.
